The Crow on the Spire
Standing by the gravestone, wet,
waiting for the hollowness
to fill itself.
The crow on the spire
caws presently;
sounding out its horned bark
its black beak vee'd apart,
eyes showing nothing
to me
who looks up
into cascading rain.
